God bless our Search and Rescue Canines Units for aiding and saving the flood victims.
Their work is noble and dangerous as I was again reminded yesterday. My very good friend’s dog was killed in Rockton, Illinois, in the river while rescuing citizens of the floods. The other 2 SAR dogs pulled this canine towards shore for the unit to retrieve the dog. It was too late. The owner/handler is completely devastated. Please keep them in your prayers.

I lost Xena Thanksgiving 2006. She was my first service dog. She did well even on just 3 legs.
